“Appalachian Eats”

The local food movement is in full swing in the mountains of North Carolina and Hubba Hubba Smokehouse is proud to be featured in the pilot episode of a new series focusing on purchasing and cooking with local foods, “Appalachian Eats”. Working in conjunction with Pardee Hospital, Ben Carland and Obsidian Collective have plans to shoot several episodes of this new series and bring it to Public Television and other networks. Stay tuned for updates and enjoy the pilot episode.

Host Ariel Glassman introduces our own Starr Teel in the first installment of “Appalachian Eats”. Learn about the art of the fire, the time and effort that goes into creating wood-fired BBQ and what Starr sees as the bigger picture when it comes to enjoying and sharing food.

Part 2
Watch Pitmaster Starr Teel as he prepares a Hubba Hubba Smokehouse catering favorite, a Smoked Salmon and Goat Cheese dip. Part 2 in this local food series was filmed on location at Grand Highlands on Bearwallow Mountain in Hendersonville, NC.
