Area Summer Camps

Summer camps play a large role in Henderson County and the arrival of the summer camp season is what draws many families to our area for the first time. In fact, it was the camp experience that first introduced Starr Teel and his family to Flat Rock years ago. Starr has continued to give back to the area and support the camp community over the years including “Art Matters”, a program he created back in 2003. Starr continues to be involved in the local camp community through the Henderson County Young Leaders Program and the Future Legends of BBQ event which raises money so that underprivileged kids are also able to enjoy a camp experience.
