Our Pitmaster, Starr Teel, is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu but it’s his passion and fascination with the wood-fire that makes Hubba Hubba what it is today! With many years of experience executing large scale banquets and charity events, Starr brings a solid understanding of what it takes to make it happen!
Todd Mallin, Chef
Todd joined our team in 2016 and has been in Hendersonville for 8 years. Prior to joining Hubba Hubba, Todd was the exec Sous chef at Highland Lake Inn. In 2014, Todd was part of Michelle Bailey’s “fire on the rock” winning team- a bracket style competition put on by a Southern Foods to highlight NC products. The team won the WNC region then went to Raleigh for the finals where they won their first round, but lost in the second. Todd is a 1996 Johnson & Wales (Charleston) graduate and has worked in many posh hotels and resorts. He has spent many years as a banquet chef, and prides himself on making food for banquets and events NOT look and taste like banquet foods. Additionally, Todd is an accomplished ice sculptor, avid cyclist and enjoys foraging.
